Full Circle Stories of our Trees

It all begins with you, our donors. These are just a few Full Circle Stories of our donated trees. Thank you for helping us keep them out of the landfill, and let them live on in a new form.

Living their best new life at the hands of our local woodworkers!

A beautiful Black Walnut in a Decatur neighborhood had to come down. They knew it was in poor health, but did not realize the first 20’ was completely hollow! We were able to salvage 4 decent logs from it. This is one of the gorgeous new forms this tree will live on as, a dinner table in the home it came from! VanVleet Woodworking turned three of the slabs into a family gathering place.

This White Oak grew up in the Historic district of Stone Mountain Village, just a short walk from the West Gate of the Park. It came down in a storm and thankfully missed the home and garage. A skilled Decatur woodworker, Wachs Woodcraft, selected two large slabs to create this gorgeous coffee table.

This Hickory Tree was donated by a homeowner in Decatur, GA. A few of its new forms are this series of handcrafted cutting boards by a local Tucker woodworker, FurnishingsByHand.

Two logs of a Black Walnut Tree were donated from Hiawassee, GA. One of its new forms is this stunning, handcrafted Midcentury Modern table by a local Atlanta woodworker, Ryan Clark.

This Pecan Tree was donated from Roswell, GA. Handcrafted into a gorgeous river table at the hands of an Atlanta woodworker, Rob Moore of RJDS Woodworks. And another beautiful butcher block by FurnishingsByHand.

A massive Tulip Poplar was donated from Acworth, GA. Two of its new forms are these handcrafted, beautiful side tables by two Atlanta woodworkers. The side table is by WoodcraftIAN Goods, and the console table is by VanVleet Woodworking

This Red Oak was donated from Smoke Rise, GA. One of its new forms is this sweet slat bench, created by an East Atlanta woodworker.
